            We all know that dinosaurs were big, but how big were they? This book explores the many types of dinosaurs and just how big they actually were. This story compares familiar animals with the dinosaurs that used to live on our planet. Read and find out just how big they really were!

The illustrations in this story appear to be colorful sketches. The sketches are very accurate when it comes to what the dinosaurs used to look like. Some of the illustrations are silly, but they still correlate with what the dinosaurs really looked like.

For this story, I chose a third grade standard for math. The students could do an activity where they compare objects and measure them. They could also make predictions and observations in their journals about the sizes of the objects.
