Baby just wants to play all day. When a sneeze comes along, baby’s day of play is ruined!  Now baby is sick! What made baby sick? Will baby get better in time to play?

The illustrations in this story seem to be sketches. I enjoy the personification of the Sherm the Germ. I feel that this would help students understand the importance of germ awareness.

I chose kindergarten science for this story. Although this is a very simple story, I believe that this has a very good lesson to learn. A lesson idea that I had is to place green puffballs on commonly touched items around the classroom and have the students investigate the room just to see the many germs that could be everywhere. I would also take the time to explain the importance of hand washing and covering sneezes and coughs.
