Even a
simple act of kindness, such as a smile, can make a world of difference. This
book follows a smile around the world! A little boy smiles at a man who is
stuck in traffic. This, in turn, makes the man smile. The man gets to the
airport and smiles at the pilot. The pilot flies to Hong Kong and smiles at the
people at the airport. The book goes on to show how far the smile spreads. Give
it a read to see where all the smile goes!
The
illustrations in this book seem to be watercolor drawings. They are very
vibrant and depict the many places the smile travels in the world.
I would use
this book in a third grade social studies lesson. We could explore the different
places the smile went. We could even make a timeline of the events of where the
smile went.
